WEEKEND RIDE #1 - Toledo Bend

Enjoy a weekend ride to the East Texas pine country with a layover at the Lake of Toledo Bend for a day of relaxation, golfing, hiking, short rides around the lake, and picture taking. We'll stay on the Louisiana side of the lake at the Cypress Bend Resort. You might say this will be an out of state ride, but Texas will always be in sight.  

The ride to and from Toledo Bend will take us through National Forests and around East Texas's lakes. We'll take a different route on Friday and Sunday to get to enjoy more of the beauty of East Texas. The ride to and from Toledo Bend is 350 miles each way. Plan for a 10 minute stop every hour or so.  Dale "No-Vail" Hardy is the Lead Road Captain for this ride. Stage at the Bergheim Valero, September 17.  Pre-ride briefing 8:00 am, Kickstands up 8:15 am.
